Biography:

As the Representative for Ohio’s Second District, I bring the perspective of a lifelong Ohioan, conservative businessman, and former prosecutor to Washington. After graduating from Miami University and the University of Dayton School of Law, I served in the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office, holding criminals accountable to keep our neighborhoods safe. I helped lead my family’s small business, Sardinia Ready Mix, where I saw firsthand how inflation and government overreach impact local jobs. Today, I am focused on a "Results First" agenda—fighting for rural broadband, supporting our farmers on the Agriculture Committee, and ensuring our infrastructure meets the needs of Southern Ohio families. My wife, Charity, and I are proud to raise our three daughters in the same community that shaped us.

Why are you seeking this office, and what motivates you to serve at this time?

I am seeking this office because Southern Ohio deserves a representative who understands the real-world impact of inflation and government overreach on our families and small businesses. Having run a company and served as a prosecutor, I am motivated to bring a "Results First" approach to Washington to secure our borders and rebuild our economy. My focus is on ensuring our rural communities are no longer overlooked, whether that means expanding high-speed internet or supporting the farmers who feed our nation. I am honored to serve at this critical time to protect our conservative values and ensure a more prosperous future for the Second District.

What professional or personal experiences best prepare you to understand the needs of small businesses and employers in Clermont County?

As a small business owner who led Sardinia Ready Mix, I have firsthand experience signing the front of paychecks and navigating the burdens of inflation and government overreach. My time as a Clermont County Assistant Prosecutor further prepared me to understand the essential link between public safety and a thriving local economy. These roles have shaped my "Results First" approach, ensuring I advocate for the lower taxes and reduced regulations that Clermont County employers need to grow and succeed.

What are your top three policy priorities if elected, and what impact do you expect those policies to have on our region?

My top priorities are driven by my "Results First" agenda, starting with the Bridging the Broadband Gap Act to provide immediate satellite and fixed-wireless internet to our rural "broadband deserts." I am also championing the Water Infrastructure Assistance Reauthorization Act to secure clean, affordable water for our small towns while protecting local taxpayers from soaring costs. Finally, I am fighting for a strong Farm Bill that includes my Improving Drought Monitoring Act, ensuring our farmers have the accurate data and federal support they need to remain the backbone of Southern Ohio’s economy.

What do you see as the most significant economic challenges facing Clermont County over the next four years, and how should government respond?

In Clermont County, the most significant economic challenges over the next four years are the persistent burden of inflation on household budgets, the lack of high-speed internet in our rural corners, and aging infrastructure that limits business expansion. To address these, I am championing a "Results First" agenda that includes my Bridging the Broadband Gap Act to provide immediate satellite internet to our rural "deserts" and the Water Infrastructure Assistance Reauthorization Act to modernize our small-town utilities without breaking the bank for taxpayers. By securing critical local funding for projects, I am ensuring our county has the safety and infrastructure it needs to attract new manufacturing jobs and remain competitive.

How will you engage with the business community to ensure that taxes, fees, regulatory structures, and public services support long-term economic growth?

I engage with our business community through a "Results First" approach, regularly partnering with the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce to ensure local entrepreneurs have a direct voice in federal tax and regulatory policy. I am championing the Main Street Lending Improvement Act to slash the bureaucratic red tape and inefficient SBA processes that often delay critical funding for our small businesses. By advocating for pro-growth tax structures such as the 199A deduction and the No Tax on Tips Act, I am committed to creating a stable, low-cost environment where Clermont County employers can focus on innovation rather than paperwork.

Public trust and collaboration are essential in governing. How would you work with colleagues — including those with differing viewpoints — to advance meaningful policy solutions?

To build public trust, I prioritize a "Results First" approach that focuses on the practical needs of Southern Ohio rather than partisan gridlock. I work with colleagues from both parties on essential issues like healthcare and infrastructure, which is why I recently joined the Congressional Bipartisan Rural Health Caucus to address provider shortages in our region. By leading bipartisan initiatives like the push for an I-73 corridor feasibility study, I demonstrate that we can find common ground to strengthen our supply chains and ensure our rural communities have the resources they need to thrive.
