Carl G. Hartman, Sports Zone USA

“At the latter part of my professional career, I had the pleasure of serving Clermont County as the elected County Engineer for three terms. The Clermont County Chamber was very supportive of our short and long range plans. Many of the projects were accomplished by the Chamber’s being an advocate with the State of Ohio in securing monetary grants. Several of these projects were the Bach Buxton Road extension to SR 32 and rebuilding a section of Clough Pike to design standards. Additionally, with the Chamber’s support we were able to forge a private-public partnership for multiple infrastructure improvements in the Eastgate area. Also, we were able to attack our failing bridge infrastructure more aggressively by the Commissioners adding the last $5.00 local vehicle registration fee. The Chamber was present at the public hearings and addressed how substandard bridge infrastructure negatively impacted the business community in Clermont County.”
