Among the many Involvement Opportunities available through your Clermont Chamber of Commerce, consider serving as a volunteer on the Government Affairs Council. Volunteering time and leadership is the best way to benefit from your Chamber and get connected with its membership. The Government Affairs Council is comprised of the three committees described below. Their role is to monitor and evaluate legislative activities, federally and locally, pertinent to business interests in Clermont County and the surrounding region, and to recommend position statements on legislation that impacts the majority of the Chamber's membership base. The Council further plans and delivers quality programs and events addressing matters of economic development and legislative importance.
Government Affairs Events Committee
Purpose: To design, market, promote and delivery quality programs and events addressing matters of economic development and government affairs.
Government Affairs Task Force
Purpose: To carry out special tasks as defined by the Government Affairs Council. Projects include the Advocacy web content, the Agenda 360 program of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and the Public Officials Educational Initiative.
Issues Management Committee
Purpose: To monitor and evaluate issues relevant to the needs of Chamber membership and recommend appropriate actions to the Board of Directors.
